Thank you! I need to start this first message by noting our tremendous thankfulness for the tremendous outpouring of welcome and support this church community has shown to my family and I. We are truly blessed to be a part of a community that is so generous and loving. Although it has been just a month since we have arrived we already feel at home and it is thanks to all of you.
You may have noticed that there are a few things returning to our church home and a few new things popping up. This Sunday will see the return of the Sunday School families to our sanctuary after the summer. We are also changing our worship times to reflect this change. Worship will be at 4:30 on Saturday, and 9 & 11 on Sunday with Sunday School at 9:45 in between services. We have worship available online through Zoom for the 11 am service. Check the worship times tab for the link. I am looking forward to meeting all of our families and parents as we come together to help our children nurture their faith, and learn about the teachings of Christ.
There is a new bulletin board set up in the entryway where you can find information about upcoming events. Please take a moment to stop by and see how you can become further engaged in our church. We really need your time and talents to help us fulfill our mission in the community. We are looking for people to be a part of a few committees, Deacons, Stewardship, as well as our Men’s Club and Ladies Aid. The best part of our church is you so become engaged, we can’t wait to see you!
We are on our way to collecting directory update forms, please fill yours out today and get it into the church office. We are looking for the best way to contact you including your email, cell phone, and if you still have one, a landline. If you have adult children who have moved out of your home and are living on their own please help us to gather their information by calling the office, sending us their email, or it you need to, fill it out for them. We want to keep everyone connected and informed of the happenings of our church family.
There will be a new member class in October. If you have been a part of the community and would like to become a member please reach out to us so you can participate in our conversations that will lead to membership Sunday in November 2021.
This is a lot of information to share with you this month. What it all comes to is a clear sign that we are coming together and our church is alive once again, transitioning into this next phase of our faith adventure. This is an exciting time as our church community seems ready to embrace who we are becoming together, Praise be to God. This is my very forward way of saying I can’t wait to meet you!
