Stewardship 2026
Because of You our Church changes Lives!
This year we are celebrating, and appreciating the time, treasure, and talents, of those who help for God's will to be done in our church community.
A Letter from our Pastor
Dear Church Family,
I often think of church as the place where people are always glad to see you. The place where warm hugs, and welcoming conversations are the foundation of the work we do together. We work to see each other with the same love God has for us. Revolutionary, yes, life changing, always. “Because of you, our church changes lives.” Every good project needs a focus and a reminder of the cause it serves. This year, we are focusing on the impact we make in the lives of our church family and our community. We know that our impact is directly tied to our willingness to ask God for guidance and respond to that guidance with thankfulness and willingness.
You may have noticed how many joyful announcements we have shared these last few weeks. These announcements have inspired our Thankful Jar in the front of the Sanctuary. For the next month we are asking for everyone to write things they are thankful for, in our church, in family, and in life. We want to be a congregation that responds to God’s Blessings with thankfulness. In doing so we are reminded of the abundance of God’s blessings.
What it takes to Operate a Church
A Church is a living, breathing place. It is filled with hopes for the future and acknowledgment of our rich history. Our church is looking to grow and share God’s love abundantly. Growth takes prayer, time, and talents.
In the last year we have asked God to help us grow, new members are becoming a part of our family. We have prayed for Sunday School teachers, and God has provided. We have asked for prayer shawls, a bag of beautiful gifts arrived to meet the need. We needed help with Setback, help arrived with a smile, ready to work. All of these blessings have come from your prayers and our willingness as individuals and a congregation to be directed.
Can you believe we have air conditioning in Covenant Hall? A trustee took charge of this project and brought it to fruition. Our Congregation and members worked together to provide the finances for this project. Teamwork made it happen. We asked God to help us find someone to fix our tremendous water leak. Our leak is fixed. We prayed for our ceiling to be repaired, a master craftsman came and restored it to its original condition; prayers answered. We have been able to tackle rotting steps, door handles that won’t open, and a summer surprise where the main fuse coming into our church was shorting out, causing power outages in our entire building. These blessings have come from the financial resources you have dedicated to our church. We have been able to say yes, we can fix that with confidence. We pray in 2026 with your help, we will have the ability to meet unexpected financial challenges.
You are a part of God’s plan for our church. Your time, your treasure, your talents, your faithful response to our church community are so valued.
Faith Promise Cards
Now offering electronic giving. You can use this page to set up a one time donation, weekly, or monthly donation.
When we give through our Faith Promises we are dedicating a portion of our income and talent to the service of God. Our Trustees plan for the upcoming year with the promises we make. We ask you to give of your time, treasure, and talents by filling out the enclosed card and returning it to the church office to allow us to continue our planning. What you give benefits our whole church, helps us plan for our future, and answers the call to service in this faith community.
Your pledges allow for a budget to be made, missions to be supported, salaries to be paid, and lights to be on as we enter into a warm and welcoming sanctuary. When we consider our pledge, we usually begin with the gift we gave the previous year. We ask you to consider increasing your pledge to support the emerging ministries of our church. It is clear we are changing and growing. Your faithful support will help us to have the financial foundation to stand on while growing and changing.
We are reminded of how God provides for us. God is Good all the time, we respond by sharing the blessings God has provided.
Our Thankful jar is filling up with things we are thankful for. Our adults and children are encouraged to participate. Let’s fill this jar and one more. On November 8 & 9th we will open the jars and share some of the blessings we have recognized as a church family. In the coming weeks, you will hear guest speakers share their testimony during our worship time. They will each share on a topiv that speaks to them during this time of the year. We encourage you to think of stories of inspiration you would like to share on Stewardship Weekend, November 15 & 16. During our worship time we will bless our Faith Promises together. Our message will be provided by you sharing the impact our church has in your life.
Together, we are the hands and feet of Christ,, shaping the world around us. 2025 has brought answers to our prayers, blessings beyond what we could ask for, and a sense of community that grows each week. Knowing what God has already done, I am looking forward to us shaping our future together.
I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in 2026.
May God Bless you and Keep you– Rev. Tammy Torelli
Ongoing Giving Opportunities
Your pledges, donations, and gifts enable the ministries of the church to happen.
Consider giving on a monthly or weekly basis through a pledge form called Faith Promises. You can use the form to the right of this message for electronic giving.
This a tax-deductible donation- You can drop it off at the church or place in the collection plate during worship or set up a reoccuring donation through our website.
Scrip Orders
Scrip is an easy way to support our church. Using the form located near Covenant Hall, you can order gift cards for your favorite stores, gifts, or any occasion. You will pay face value for the gift card, however, a part of the cost of the card will be donated to our church on your behalf. For example, you purchase 25$ for Stop and Shop, shop regularly, use your gift card, and a portion of the gift card cost of the 25$ will be donated to the church. Orders for Scrip are due on the second Sunday of every month and are available for pick up the following weekend.. Order blanks are available. This is a great way for our church to raise money. For every Scrip order the church gets a percentage of the value. If you have any questions please see Heather Minervini or Alissa Brown.
SCRIP orders occur every month
